Hypnotherapy is a skilled verbal communication which helps the client use their imagination to bring about positive change in perceptions, feelings, thoughts, and behavior. The hypnotherapist will consult with the client, create an action plan together, and then provide the hypnotic session. Typically, the initial session is 90 minutes long and subsequent session approximately an hour. The quantity of sessions needed will vary depending on the needs of the client.
FAQ's for Hypnotherapy What if I can't be hypnotized? Everyone is different. Some people take longer to relax or will need different relaxing tools depending on how you respond. I will discuss with you any concerns and will address them in the session. Everyone can benefit from the hypnotherapy experience, we can tailor the session to your needs.
Can I get stuck in the trance? No. You have full control at all times. Some clients may find they go very deeply in to a trance that is very close to sleeping. However, this is not a state you can get stuck in just like you can't get stuck in sleep from sleeping at night.
Can you force me to do something I don't want to do? No. You are always in full control. Nothing can be suggested to do that you are not in agreement with. Plus, I am focused on always providing suggestions that are in the client's highest good, but ultimately it is the client's decision to accept them.
Is hypnotherapy guaranteed to work? There is never a guarantee for most things in life, and hypnotherapy is one of those things. However, hypnotherapy has been proven to help more people quit smoking and lose weight better than other methods that are available. Hypnotherapy has been shown to help increase positivity and dispel negativity, helping decrease depression, and help with goal achievement.
Will you judge me or respect my cultural differences? I am very respectful of cultural wishes and religious differences. I am committed to ethical and respectful treatment of all people.
Can I quit my medical treatments if I am receiving hypnotherapy? No, you will still need to work with your doctor on any medical treatments you are receiving. It is good to let your doctor know that you are receiving hypnotherapy and Robyn can also work in tandem with any medical practitioners you are currently working with. We want you to be as healthy as you can be, which may mean you will still need to include your medical doctors in your decisions.
